Cholesterol Reduction

Cholesterol is a fat-like substance found throughout your body.  It’s in your blood and in all your cells.  Your body needs it; cholesterol helps to produce hormones and build cells.  There are two sources of cholesterol: your genes and the food you eat.  The majority of the cholesterol is produced by your body in the liver and other cells.  Your genes determine how much your body produces, and sometimes it can be too much.  Food containing saturated fats, trans fats, and cholesterol contribute the amount of cholesterol flowing through your blood.

While some cholesterol is good (and necessary) to have, too much, whether from genes, diet or both, affects your circulatory system and your heart’s ability to pump blood efficiently.  High cholesterol levels, known as hypercholesterolemia, can lead to long term damage.  High cholesterol occurs when there is a high concentration of the “bad” cholesterol LDL or a low concentration of HDL, which is the “good” cholesterol.  An unhealthy amount of LDL or too little HDL promotes arterial disease and may lead to heart attacks, stroke, or peripheral artery disease (PAD).  Too much cholesterol begins to build up in your arteries and veins, including the ones going to your heart and brain.  It can begin to stick to other substances in your blood, like platelets, and harden, turning into plaque.  This narrows the blood flow and can even block it.  Pieces of plaque may break off or blood clots may form that can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

Chelation therapy can reduce cholesterol.  Taken with other heart healthy measures, such as diet and exercise, you can reduce plaque blockages and increase blood flow.  EDTA oral chelation therapy works by removing the calcium (and other heavy metals) that contributes to the formation of blockages.  The removal of the hard substances allows your body to clear the blockage, increasing blood flow.  Increased blood flow allows oxygen and other important nutrients to be transported to all your cells, improving not just your heart but many other conditions as well.

To begin to reduce your cholesterol, try the six-week chelation program from Cardio Renew.  This will put you on the right track towards improving your circulation and reducing the negative effects of cholesterol on your body.  After the six weeks are up, you can continue to keep yourself healthy with the chelation maintenance pack.  And remember, be sure to take the recommended dosage of Krill Oil Soft Gels along with eating a heart healthy diet and exercising
